The past few months have seen the launch of many brand identities. The following brands are, for one reason or another, noteworthy.

Kodak returned to its brand roots this past fall resurrecting its “K” icon. The Rochester, New York company today describes itself as “a technology company focused on imaging. We provide – directly and through partnerships with other innovative companies – hardware, software, consumables and services to customers in graphic arts, commercial print, publishing, packaging, electronic displays, entertainment and commercial films, and consumer products markets.”

Metlife, which had featured Charlie Brown’s Snoopy in its branding and advertising, has left the cartoon beagle in the dust and rebranded this past fall. The New York City-based insurance company claims it is one of the world’s largest, with operations in nearly 50 countries, with about 100 million customers.

This well-known organization rebranded this past December. “Founded in 1912, Dale Carnegie Training has evolved from one man’s belief in the power of self-improvement to a performance-based training company…” Based in New York City, Dale Carnegie has offices in over 90 countries worldwide.

This past fall, the automotive seating operations were spun off from Johnson Controls and rebranded as Adient. Based in New York City, the company has about 75,000 employees in 33 countries, producing seating for over 250 million cars every year.

Xerox split into two separate companies at the beginning of 2017, with Conduent the name for the new company offering business process services. Based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey (just west of New York City), Conduent claims it has about 93,000 employees worldwide.

Calvin Klein unveiled its new logo at the beginning of February. Part of PVH Corp. (they also own Tommy Hilfiger and Heritage Brands), the new logo was launched ahead of new designer Raf Simons’s first collection for the brand.

Hilton launched its new corporate brand at the beginning of February. The loyalty program, formerly Hilton HHonors has dropped the redundant H and is now Hilton Honors. Hilton claims it has “a portfolio of 14 world-class brands comprising more than 4,900 properties with over 800,000 rooms in 104 countries and territories.”
