This Snapshot, a quick overview of brands that have been recently been launched, focuses on new logos for PayPal, Beamly, ERA Real Estate, Cambria Hotels and Suites, Mack Trucks and the Jewish Museum.

Zeebox, “the world’s leading content and social network for TV,” launched its new name and brand identity on April 14, 2014. Beamly can be found as an app on iPhone and Android, as well as a web site. Beamly allows users to follow TV shows’ storylines, characters and celebrities, as well a provide an environment for audiences to interact with other fans of their favourite shows.

On May 15, Choice Hotels International Inc. unveiled the new brand and logo for Cambria Hotels & Suites. In addition to Cambria, Choice Hotels also has the Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites, MainStay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Econo Lodge and Rodeway Inn brands for a total of more than 6,300 franchise hotels. Cambria Hotels & Suites offers “contemporary, upscale accommodations at affordable prices” and the new brand also focuses on offering guests a “more social atmosphere.”

ERA Real Estate unveiled its new brand identity in March. Due to be launched in July, ERA stated this was the culmination of a five-year process to strengthen the brand. ERA, which claims to have about 31,000 brokers, and 2,300 offices across the United Sates and in 34 countries, is owned by Realogy Holdings Corp. Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate, CENTURY 21®, Coldwell Banker®, Coldwell Banker Commercial®, The Corcoran Group®, ERA®, Sotheby’s International Realty®, NRT LLC, Cartus and Title Resource Group are all Realogy brands and business units.

Located on New York City’s Museum Mile, the Jewish Museum launched its new brand identity on April 29. The new identity is being implemented throughout the museum, including its print materials, gift shop packaging, and a new web site, which is slated to go live in June. The Museum was established in 1904 and has a collection of “over 30,000 works of art, artifacts, and broadcast media reflecting global Jewish identity, and presents a diverse schedule of internationally acclaimed temporary exhibitions.”

During the 2014 CONEXPO-CON/AGG construction trade show event the first week of March in Las Vegas, Mack Trucks unveiled its new brand identity, which includes a new rendering of its iconic Mack Bulldog. Mack is one of the largest producers of heavy duty trucks, which are sold in more than 45 countries. Mack Truck is part of the Volvo Group which is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Volvo Group manufactures trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine and industrial engines. It “shares” the Volvo brand with Volvo Cars, which is also based Gothenburg, Sweden.

PayPal launched its new brand identity on April 30. Founded in 1988, PayPal describes itself “at the forefront of the digital payments revolution, giving people direct control over their money. Through our innovations, we make life better for our over 148 million active accounts in 26 currencies and across 193 markets, processing more than 9 million payments daily.” PayPal is an eBay Inc. company.
