As the year-end approaches, here are a number of brand identities that were launched in September, but were overlooked. Included are new brand identities for Opera, Covestro, Galeries Lafayette, eir and Sbarro.

Opera Software, the web browser company, rebranded this past September, shortening its name from Opera Software to simply Opera. This Norway based company claims it has over 350 million “internet consumers” and over “120 operators around the world”.

With its spin-off from Bayer MaterialScience complete on September 1, the company launched its new name and brand identity, Covestro. Though it is now a separate company, it is still owned by Bayer AG, though an initial share offering is contemplated for mid-2016. Covestro claims it is a world leading manufacturer of high-tech polymer materials, with about 17,000 employees in 30 sites worldwide.
